Hi All!
JFJanssen here.
Been a Ubuntu fan since they first brought installer CD's, and have been very happy with Ubuntu.
For the last couple of years, though, I had to use Windows, but now I am back on Ubuntu with my personal machines.
(6 laptops, 4 desktops. 2 installed, 8 to go.)
Hello.
I'm from Poland
I like Ubuntu and I work with Ubuntu
Greetings to everyone
Hello mmirek -

Make yourself right at home.

'lo, I'm werewulf75 or werewulf or wulf for short. New to the forums, though not to Ubuntu or Linux or *nix type OSes. Running Ubuntu as my main OS on 2 aging laptops and 2 desktops (1 ancient!) but sadly also have to use Windows 10 for a very few specialist apps and support for specialist hardware that sadly are not available in Linux so it's multi-booted on 1 laptop and the one slightly more modern desktop, and even then both Windows installations sport 1 or 2 Ubuntu VMs. Principal OS everywhere is vanilla Ubuntu, but also multi-booting Ubuntu Mate, (and lately) Ubuntu Unity (always liked Unity!), and on some machines also Debian and/or Fedora, and experimentally and likely temporarily Arch again on one machine after a long time. Ubuntu user since last official Unity LTS release, but always kept an eye on Ubuntu since around its original release. First tried Linux around '96 with Slackware which was then supposed to be the mutt's nuts. It wasn't - very unstable, took ages to set up WM/Desktop without it falling to pieces. Gave up on it after a few months but came back to Linux periodically, until I initially settled on Fedora, and eventually, Ubuntu Unity - home!
Hey werewulf75 - Welcome to the Forums
With that kind of experience, you can be a boon to the Forums.

Hii everyone!
Glad to be joining you all here! I've been a Linux user for around 8-10 years at this point, and a serious Desktop Linux user for the last 6 years. I first started out with Ubuntu, and have since recently returned (23.10 for my laptop which is now on 24.04, and just recently swapped out Arch on my desktop for Ubuntu 24.04).
I'm from Sydney Australia, and work as a Technical IT Consultant, with some specific focuses on Application Development, DevOps, ITSM, and recently started my journey on Hardware/Software Asset Management.
In my spare time, I enjoy using Linux for all manner of projects and uses; gaming, game development on Gotdot 4, CTF's (pentesting), etc.
